Offices and commercial premises
Offices, shops, workshops, studios and clinics. Access that can be given to a person and taken back from that person, without changing a lock.
The problem is staff turnover, not burglary
Most commercial jobs we do are not about break-ins. They are about the drawer of keys nobody can account for, and the fact that everyone who has ever worked there might still be able to get in.
Once a business has been through a few leavers, that is no longer a theoretical worry — it is an insurance question, and increasingly a question a client or an auditor asks.
What we fit and why
Cards and fobs for staff. Faster than a code at a door forty people use, and it tells you who went through rather than that somebody did. Cancelled in seconds when someone leaves.
Codes for the doors that need them. Stockrooms, plant rooms, the back door the cleaners use. Changed on a schedule rather than never.
Time restrictions where they help. Contract cleaners with access between six and eight, not at two in the morning.
Fire and escape treated seriously. A final exit door has to open from the inside without a code, a key or a working battery. That is not negotiable and it shapes what can go on which door — we work it out at the survey, not afterwards.
Leased premises
If you rent, the lease usually has something to say about altering the doors. Most landlords are fine with a lock that can be taken off and the original put back, and that is usually what we fit.
Worth asking before you order anything. We can put the specification in writing for you to send them.
How many doors, and how many people?
That is most of what we need to price it. Tell us and we will come and look.
