Who it suits
Anyone who is tired of carrying a key. Fingerprints for the people who live there, a PIN for a cleaner or a relative, a card for somebody who finds buttons awkward.
On a let it does the job a key safe used to: a PIN that works for the dates of the stay and then stops on its own.
Fitting it
It goes onto the locking mechanism the door already has. The lock replaces the handles; the bolts and hooks that actually hold the door shut stay where they are.
We look at the door before anything is ordered. If it has dropped, or the mechanism inside is worn, we say so first — and if the door will not take the lock, there is nothing to pay.
After we leave
The app account is set up in your name, not ours. It runs on AA batteries, warns you well before they go, and if they ever do run flat the key still opens the door.
